Arrival

The Panoráma Trail takes place on Saturday, but race packs can already be collected on Friday:

📅 Friday: Füzér Cultural Centre – 16:00–19:00
📅 Saturday: Boldogkő Castle – 07:30–08:45

👉 We recommend arriving early so you have enough time to collect your race pack, prepare comfortably and fully settle into the atmosphere before the start.

Parking – Boldogkő Castle

If you arrive at the start area on Saturday morning, please do not use the asphalt parking lot.

Parking is available:

  • along the roadside parking area

  • and on the grassy area approximately 100 metres away

Parking staff will assist participants from early morning — please follow their instructions.

Race Pack Collection

Race bibs and race packs can be collected:

📍 Friday (16:00–19:00) at the Füzér Race Centre
📍 Saturday (07:30–08:45) at the Boldogkő Race Centre

for both solo runners and relay teams.

To collect your pack, a photo ID is sufficient — no confirmation email or invoice is required.

You can check the status of your registration anytime on the start list available on our website.

👉 Three days before the race, the final start list including race numbers will also be published in the LIVE section.

Start Procedure

The race starts in a single mass start together for both solo runners and relay teams.

Please make sure to take your place in the starting area on time and listen carefully to the organisers’ instructions.

👉 The moments before the start are special — this is where your story begins.

Bag Transport

Solo runners will receive an additional green wristband together with their castle-entry wristbands, marked with their race number.

If you would like to use the bag transport service from the start to the finish:

  • attach the green wristband to your bag

  • and hand it over to the organisers before the start

Your bag can be collected at the finish area, in the building next to the refreshment station.

👉 Please note: bag transport is not available for relay teams, as they usually travel between relay points with their own vehicles.

Timing

To ensure accurate timing, your race bib must be clearly visible on your chest during the race.

Access to relay zones and castle areas is only permitted with a visible race number.

Live results and split times will be available here:

Castle Entry Wristbands

Inside the race pack, every participant will receive 3 wristbands providing free access to all three castles.

Please put them on before the start, as they are required:

  • for passing through the castles during the race

  • and for entering the finish area as well

👉 Your wristbands remain valid the following day too, so you can return and explore the castles at your own pace.

Post-Race Meal

Every participant receives a meal ticket together with their race pack.

Hot meals will be served at the Füzér Race Centre between 13:30 and 18:00.

If you did not order extra meals during registration (for example for supporters or family members), additional meals can still be requested until 7 October.

Please send an email including:

  • runner or team name

  • number of meal portions requested
    (bean soup and/or goulash soup)

💰 Price: 3500 HUF / portion
(includes soup, strudel and drink)

The payment must arrive to the provided bank account no later than 9 October in order to finalise catering arrangements.

⚠️ During the final week before the race, modifications can no longer be accepted, and meal tickets will not be available for purchase on site.

Finish Line

👉 The finish line awaits you in Füzér, at the third castle.
This is where everything comes together: the kilometres behind you, the experiences along the way, and the limits you have overcome.

The finish arch is located at the gate of the lower castle.

This is where official timing ends — and where you receive your finisher medal.

Relay team members are welcome to wait for each other during the final metres and cross the finish line together — making the experience truly complete.

Just a few steps beyond the finish area you will find:

  • the refreshment tent

  • and the bag collection point (for solo runners)

After a short rest, we highly recommend walking up to the upper castle as well:

take in the unforgettable panorama, enjoy the atmosphere, and capture a few memorable photos.

Füzér Race Centre

After finishing, refreshing and taking a short break, the Race Centre can be reached with an approximately 1 km walk.

📍 (Cultural Centre, event tent and Visitor Centre)

There you will find:

  • shower facilities inside the Visitor Centre

  • hot meals served in the event tent

  • and the award ceremony held in the Cultural Centre

Come and celebrate together — not only the fastest runners, but every single finisher.

Shuttle Bus

After the award ceremony, at 19:00, a shuttle bus departs back to the start area at Boldogkő Castle.

This service is mainly recommended for runners:

  • who parked or stayed near the start area

  • and do not have supporters to drive them back

The shuttle bus must be booked during registration.

💰 Price: 3000 HUF / person

ON THE COURSE

The Panoráma Trail course is fully marked, but the terrain is varied, wild and at times highly technical.

What awaits you:

  • steep climbs and long descents

  • rocky, technical sections

  • stream crossings

  • long stretches deep in the forest

Some aid stations are further apart than what many runners may be used to, so proper hydration and energy management are essential.

👉 Follow the course markings carefully — the Zemplén wilderness has a way of making you lose track of everything else.

Aid Stations

📍 Mogyoróska – 10 km
📍 Regéc – 16 km
📍 Telkibánya – 29 km
📍 Hollóháza – 39 km

Several aid stations along the course will support your journey, offering:

  • water

  • isotonic drinks

  • cola

  • bananas

  • biscuits

  • and other refreshments

You will also be able to refill your bottles or hydration systems.

👉 Always think ahead to the next section of the course.

Relay Points (Relay Teams)

📍 Regéc – 16 km
📍 Telkibánya – 29 km

👉 The relay points are accessible by car, but we strongly recommend planning your route and timing in advance.

👉 Each relay runner gets the chance to experience a unique section of the Panoráma Trail and the atmosphere of the Zemplén mountains.

Useful Tips

If this is your first Panoráma Trail:

  • do not start too fast — the course has surprises waiting for you

  • begin hydrating and fueling early

  • manage your energy wisely

  • and do not forget to look up sometimes — you came here for the panoramas too

👉 This is more than a race. Allow it to become an experience.

Important Information

  • Participation on the course is entirely at your own risk

  • Mandatory equipment may be checked at any point during the race

  • Wearing your race bib and wristbands is mandatory

  • In case of emergency or any problem, use your mobile phone and contact the organisers immediately

Navigation & Route

The entire course will be marked on the day before the race, and a test runner will also check the route beforehand, so getting lost should not happen.

Still, because we are running in mountain terrain and deep forest, we ask every participant to prepare responsibly:

  • study the course map in advance

  • download the GPX track to your watch or phone

  • fully charge your devices before the race

Using a simple app such as GPX Viewer, you can check your position at any time during the race.

Your race bib will also include:

  • the elevation profile

  • hiking trail markings (red, blue and green)

  • the names of the villages along the route

  • and the organiser’s phone number for emergencies

👉 Before race day, make sure to study the 45 km course map carefully and download the GPX track.

Cut-Off Times

The official cut-off time for the full 45 km course is:

⏰ 9 hours
→ meaning all runners must finish by 18:00.

Intermediate cut-off times are also set at the aid stations.

⚠️ After the cut-off time expires, aid stations will close and runners will not be allowed to continue the race.

Cut-off times calculated from the 09:00 start:

📍 Mogyoróska – 10 km
⏰ 2:00 hours (11:00)

📍 Regéc – 16 km
⏰ 3:30 hours (12:30)

📍 Telkibánya – 29 km
⏰ 6:00 hours (15:00)

📍 Hollóháza – 39 km
⏰ 8:00 hours (17:00)

Prepare yourself.
Plan your day.
The rest will be written by the trail itself.

See you at the start line.
